I've not had time for my own stuff of late so wanted to finish this in one sitting. To that end I copied the method used by Jarhead for his quick "gaming standard". This amounts to a basecoat a touch lighter than the desired midtone, small bright highlights and then lots of glazes using gw and warpaint washes. It's a very easy and fun style that's all about the placement of light rather than transitions and shading sequences.
